Enable Ireland

For over 27 years, Enable Ireland Kerry Services has supported children, adults, and families across the county to live fuller, more independent lives. From our purpose-built children’s centre and Adult Services Hub in Tralee, we provide person-centred health, therapy, and social supports to more than 400 young people and 70 adults with disabilities living throughout Kerry.

We are seeking support for a wellbeing-focused Service Improvement Project within our Adult Services. This initiative aims to modernise therapy and rehabilitation facilities, invest in essential equipment, and enhance accessibility to ensure every individual we support can engage safely and confidently in therapy and daily life.

Funding from the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle will allow us to upgrade strength, mobility and coordination-focused therapy equipment, install an adjustable therapy plinth and ceiling hoist, and create a more welcoming, inclusive environment for service users and their families. These improvements will directly enhance therapy effectiveness, promote independence, and support measurable gains in mobility, confidence, and functional skills. The impact will be lasting. Participants will be better equipped to transfer skills learned in therapy into everyday activities such as personal care, household tasks, employment, and community life. Improved outcomes will also reduce long-term reliance on clinical intervention while increasing our capacity to support people with complex physical needs.

We are deeply grateful for the longstanding support that we have received from the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle and for the many cyclists who have supported our Kerry Services over the years.
