Breakthrough Cancer Research – is the leading cancer research charity in Ireland investing in world-class research to impact the quality of life for people with cancer and save lives. We are particularly focused on improving outcomes for people whose cancers are poorly served by current treatment options. Funds raised from the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle 2025 will help fund two exciting new projects in ovarian and pancreatic cancers. Both are difficult to diagnose and hard to treat so advances and breakthroughs are urgently needed.

Brú Columbanus – provides free accommodation to families of seriously ill patients in Cork hospitals, including Cork University Hospital, the Mercy Hospital, the South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital, and the Bon Secours Hospital. All funds raised through the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle this year will be instrumental in helping us achieve our goal, which is to ensure that more families can stay close to their loved ones during difficult times. By taking part in the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle and supporting us, you are directly helping us provide comfort, care, and a “home from home” for those who need it most.
Thank you for your support.

Kerry Hospice Foundation – has a clear and targeted view of its work, which is to support the delivery of professionally led palliative care services in Kerry by raising awareness, money and providing clear leadership and focus. Demand for palliative care services has expanded greatly in recent years, driving the need for more staff and more beds. We are currently fundraising to support the employment of a number of Advanced Nurse Practitioners which will be an invaluable addition to the Specialist Palliative Care services and will enable us to continue to deliver world class palliative care for the people of Kerry.
We hope you will never need the hospice, but the hospice will always need you. Thank you sincerely for your support.

The Irish Kidney Association (IKA) is a charitable, voluntary organisation founded in 1978. The association is dedicated to meeting the needs of renal patients, their families, and caregivers affected by end-stage renal disease. The IKA operates a Munster Support Centre very close to CUH with six en-suite bedrooms, including two accessible units, along with a drop-in recreational hub, living area, and two quiet rooms. Patients can also enjoy a large, landscaped garden, providing a serene space to find respite outside the clinical hospital setting. In line with the organisation’s ethos, use of the facility is free of charge for kidney patients and their accompanying family members and carers travelling from throughout Munster for hospital appointments and inpatient stays. The money raised through the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle will provide significant support for this cause.

Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation – Jack and Jill is a nationwide charity that funds and provides in-home nursing care and respite support to families caring for children, up to the age of six, with severe learning disability often associated with complex medical needs. Typically, these children may be tube fed, oxygen dependent, may not sleep, take seizures, need a lot of medication and require around-the-clock care. Since 1997, Jack and Jill has supported almost 100 families in communities across Kerry, and today we currently have 16 Kerry families availing of Jack and Jill support. Recovery Haven Kerry Cancer Support House – is a cancer support charity which offers which offers free emotional and practical support services to cancer patients, their carers and families across Kerry, west Limerick and North Cork. With the help of funds raised from the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle, we aim to pilot an outreach service to increase awareness of, and access to our services across the county. We currently have a limited community-based outreach service in Killorglin twice per month and we see the need to increase this.
As one in two people will get a diagnosis of cancer in their lives, we wish to ensure that those who might require our services are aware of them and can access them either in person or via remote access.
We thank you sincerely for your support.
