BUMBLEance strives to put the happiness and well-being of children first in everything we do. We operate a fleet of ambulances offering transport to sick children to bring them to hospital appointments all over the country. Our service takes away the added stress of travel to appointments from parents/ carers by providing a reliable service where worries about parking, finding a location and timing are removed and they can concentrate of the wellbeing of their child. Transport via a BUMBLEance can be booked in advance of any appointment.
With children who have serious and life limiting conditions, hospital appointments and the long journeys can be overwhelming and scary. BUMBLEances are fully equipped with Wi-Fi, games consoles, sensory lighting, and a TV to make the journey more fun. Our ambulance is equipped with sensory lights for children with autism needs and sensory issues.
Funds raised from the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle 2023 will be used across BUMBLEance services from vehicle maintenance such as repairs, tyres, fitting modern technology and fuel and will mean that we can continue to grow support and awareness in the area as well as raising funds to continue to do help children in Kerry who rely on our service to get their child to hospital or respite care centres.
Money raised will also ensure that we are able to continue offering Angel Trips to children and families across Ireland who unfortunately need the service. Angel Trips are designed for a terminally ill children who are making their final journey on earth before he or she grows their Angel Wings. BUMBLEance ensures that parents can make this final journey together with their loved one in a safe, compassionate, sensitive, and caring environment. Before BUMBLEance offered this service, parents would often have to drive themselves or take a taxi for this heart wrenching journey. For many families this may not be viable option either financially or due to the devastating nature of the journey being taken. Following an Angel Trip BUMBLEance provides a return journey to parents/ carers when they are ready to return home.
